P.1 Production Meeting
Paula
Alex
Louis
We only used one special effect so maybe add more in our next project.
The audio was really effective in alex's video for example when hes thinking. I had some missing audio therefore it didnt make too much sense.
2 people said that the clock ticking and the pen scribbling was really effective.
We should add some music to our videos

P1. Use of music - legal considerations
Even if the composer is dead you cannot whatsoever use their piece as you still have to pay rights for publishing and whoever performed it.
incidental Music:
Incidental music is the kind of music tat is created for a film or a play and it is played on the background of a situation to create or enhance an specific atmosphere.
It is often use in tv series, films and even video games. The term used for this is often called a 'soundtrack' or 'score'

P.1 Premiere Pro
I have turned the volume off as im going to get sounds from freesound.org and we are going to record their voices with a microphone and then add it on onto our timeline therefore you cant hear the noises on the background.
I added some sounds from the website and also some parts of the conversation but we still need to record some sounds and also record some footage which is why i have left a gap in between.
The noises on the background from freesound.org is the first clip on audio 4 which i have used the pen tool to make it louder and bring it down again depending if there was someone talking. Also the first clip on audio 6 is the sound of Ruby writing on the piece of paper. The first one on audio 5 is the clock ticking on the wall.
So every clip i thought it had sound or could have some sound to make it more dramatic ive added it.

P.1 The Fluffy Butterflies Major Problem of the project
Our major problem is that we havent done the after effects yet and we only have a couple of days to do it before the rough cut. We need to do the after effects in 3 different shots therefore we need to record the footage as soon as we can so we can add it on to premiere otherwise its not going to be ready for our rough cut.

P.1 Production Meeting
Production meeting of The Fluffy Butterflies
People in this meeting:
Paul
Alex
Louis
We have discussed that on monday we will be filming the scenes where we dont need Ruby or any of the extras as they are not free to act. We need certain shots such as the close up of the clock and some shots of Jasper. Then if we have enough time we will practice the shot of Jasper using his super powers then practice on after effects with it so we have some experience on how to do it.
On Tuesday we will do the sound effects and edit the clips that we have collected from the day before to make sure we keep on track and we dont leave the editing for the last minute.
We have decided to film on Wednesday right after college at 12.30 as everyone will be out and the room where we need to film will be free and also the actors will be available to act as its the end of the day.
On thursday we will edit all the clips we have collected from the day before as there should be plenty of shots to edit. And also we will search for some sounds if needed.
Friday we will focus on the special effects where Jasper uses his powers to pick up his pen and lands in Ruby's hand as we need to make sure we get that done. Also we will search for some more videos about special effects so we make sure we do it correctly and we do not mess up. If we do not get everything done on wednesday we will film on friday.

P.1 Health And Safety When Filming
Always write assessments when filming.
Dont climb on things you dont usually climb on such as for example a table.
Always be aware of everyone else. Put a sign to let people know that youre filming as no one is gonna expect someone filming at the top of the stairs.
Always take care when you go outside because of the weather. If its muddy you could slip and hurt yourself and also damage your equipment. Make sure you always know where your stuff is such as the camera bag, dolly, tripod etc.
Always ask the teachers if you can do certain things which you think it could be dangerous and make sure you know how to prevent anything dangerous from happening.

P.1 Magic Show Poster
Created by Paula Perez
How i did this was by finding a face of a magician from google and a guy in a suit.
I got rid of the hair of the guy and put the magicians hair on top.
After i created the background which i did by adding one red card then one black and so on to fill up the white background to make it less boring and more interesting as the cards are part of many tricks from magicians.

P.1 Working between after effects and premiere pro
After Effects and Premiere Pro
File-export-media
- change the settings if needed.
Most people choose 'quicktime' and 'animation' for a uncompressive media.
It it better to choose PMG instead of animation as animation it is extremely huge.
- always save the project in premiere pro if you re going to mak any changes to the project.
Select all the clips on premiere pro and right click on them then go to replace with composition.
There is also another way which is to simply drag the sequence from Premiere Pro to After Effects. Then make a composition and it gives you only one layer.
If any colour changes, it also changes it in After effects which this didnt happen in the other option.
Always save in premiere pro if you want to keep the project like it was.
Double click on the pannel in after effects then it will give you the choice to select a project. Then after youve selected your project it gives you the option to chose the sequence. This gives you the same result as the above option.

P.1 matte painting
A matte painting is a painted presentation of a landscape, set or distant location that allows filmakers to create illusion of an environment that is nonexistent in real life or would otherwise be too expensive or impossible to build or visit.
At its best, depending on the skil levels of the artists and the tehnician, the effct is 'seamless' and creates environments that would otherwise be impossible to film.
Traditionally, matte paintings were made by artist using paints or pastels on large sheets of glass integrating with the live-action footage.
By the mid-1980's, advancements in computer graphics programs alowed matte painters to work in the digital realm.
throughout the 1990's, traditional matte paintings were still in use, but more often in conjuction with digital compositing. die hard 2: die harder 1990
By the end of the decade, the time of hamd-paimted matte paintings use drawing to a close, although as late as 1997 same traditional paintings were still being made.
Paint has now been superseded by digital images created using photo references, 3-D models, and drawing tablets.
Matte painters combine their digitally matte painted textures within comouter-generated 3-D environments, allowing for 3-D camera movement.
Lighting algorithms used to simulate lighting sources expanded im scope in 1995.
1930 :
the view of scull island in king kong 1993
the army bsrracks in all quiet on the western front 1930
count draculas cadtle exteriors in dracula 1931 and some other scenes
1970
the rooftops of portobella road in bedknobs and broomsticks 1971
view of a destroyed los angeles in earthquake 1974
the city railway line in the sting 1973
1980
the view of the oco tower in robocop 1987
the batty and deckard chase scene in blafe runner 1982
the view of thebcrashed space dhip in the thing 1982

P.1 Contingency Plan
Creating props for project
- Find poster online and add additional information that you want on there
Students may be talking when we want to film
- Ask to be quiet when filming or take them out of room when filming
Effects
- Learn them, find tutorials online or ask for help
Major Disasters
Actors may not be reliable as group members dont know what their like
- Get to know them Trust work mates friends
Laptops being used by other class when you need to use them
- Ask to use it or use other group members laptop
People including me in our group may only want to film when they have to be in collage and want to go home on their frees
- Put your hammer down as it will be better to get it all done then none of it
One actor isnt available every thursday
- Dont film on thursdays or get another actor
Actors not being available at the same time that we want to film
- Find out when they are available to film and sort it out from that or change actors
If we do film in frees, other class my be using the camera so we wont be able to film
- Find out with them when they are filming or borrow another camera
